Archiving Policy
Archiving Policy
The International Journal of Advanced Research in Humanities and Law (IJREL) is committed to the long-term preservation and continued accessibility of its scholarly content.
Digital preservation refers to the processes and measures implemented to ensure that scholarly information published in digital formats remains accessible, secure, and usable over the long term.
Website Archiving and Backup
All essential electronic content of IJREL, including the journal website, published articles, and associated publication records, is maintained on secure servers.
The journal maintains backup copies of its digital content on separate storage systems to reduce the risk of data loss resulting from server failure, technical problems, hardware failure, or other unforeseen circumstances.
These backup and recovery measures are intended to support the continuous availability and integrity of the journal's online content.
Long-Term Digital Preservation
IJREL participates in recognized digital preservation services to support the long-term preservation of its published scholarly content.
The full text of published articles is preserved through the following digital archiving and preservation services:
-
CLOCKSS
-
LOCKSS
-
PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)
These preservation mechanisms provide independent copies of the journal's digital content and help ensure continued access to published articles in the event that the journal's primary website becomes unavailable.
Through participation in these preservation services, IJREL supports the long-term preservation of the scholarly record and the continued accessibility of its published research.
Author Self-Archiving
IJREL permits and encourages authors to share their published articles through appropriate scholarly channels, including:
-
Personal academic websites
-
Institutional repositories
-
University or research organization repositories
-
Other appropriate non-commercial scholarly repositories
When sharing an article, authors should retain the complete bibliographic information of the published work and provide a link to the original article on the IJREL website.
Authors should not remove or alter the article's bibliographic information, DOI, or other essential publication metadata.
Preservation of Published Articles
Published articles are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to provide persistent identification and support long-term citation, discovery, and access.
IJREL is committed to maintaining the integrity of the published scholarly record and preserving published content for researchers, authors, libraries, and academic institutions.
Continuity of Access
In the event of technical disruption or failure affecting the journal's primary website, IJREL will use available backup and preservation mechanisms to restore access to its published content.
The journal regularly reviews its digital preservation and backup practices to support the long-term security, accessibility, and integrity of its scholarly content.
